Note that I am an “Out Of Network” (OON) clinician.
That means that I do not accept insurance or work directly with insurance companies. Your services may be eligible for reimbursement. I can provide you with the documentation needed for reimbursement (typically called a “SuperBill”) that you can submit and receive reimbursement directly. You may choose to use a tool like https://reimbursify.com/ to help with the reimbursement process. Contact your insurance provider to determine what OON benefits you may have.

Payment is processed and due at the end of your session via SimplePractice (my electronic health record), powered by Stripe. Your intake paperwork will collect your preferred payment method to keep securely on file. I accept all major credit cards, eligible HSA or FSA accounts, or cash (exact amount is needed as I do not hold cash on site). I DO NOT bill sessions ahead of time or well after sessions. Payment is due at time of service.

I require at least 24 hours notice for any cancellation or rescheduled sessions. If you cancel in under 24 hours without an emergent reason OR do no show up to your session, I will charge you the cost of that session. In the case of an emergency (illness, accident) that requires you to cancel in less than 24 hours, I will waive your cancellation fee.
Your time and my time are both valuable.
Why individuals and couples choose
OON clinicians
Greater therapist choice
I provide a lot of specialty that might be harder to find with in-network clinicians. You can also select a clinician based on your personal fit, rather than availability through your insurance provider.
Transparency in costs & reimbursement
You will know all of your costs upfront when working with an OON clinician. Many insurance providers also provide OON benefits that a lot of folks are unaware of. Your services might be eligible for reimbursement.
Flexible treatment options
You can seek therapy without needing a specific diagnosis for insurance reimbursement. Diagnoses can impact some personal aspects such as life insurance polices, for example.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Working with an OON clinician reduces the amount of sensitive information shared with insurance providers, therefore safeguarding your privacy.
Range of services
I can also offer different services and/or modalities that in-network clinicians might be limited by including relationship therapy, intensives or extended sessions.
Focus on long-term goals
Therapy can be continued at a pace that suits your needs and goals, rather than the number of sessions an insurance provider might dictate.
