Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Assessments

I offer a neuro-affirming approach to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments. My assessment approach is aimed to give individuals the space to be themselves, take down all the masks, and bear any insecurities in the safest way possible. I give folks many formats and ways to deliver information including both verbal and written options. It is a true joy being a part of people’s neurodivergent discovery journey. I understand that this process can be difficult as well and my therapeutic background will help support you in the process.

As a high masking neurodivergent individual myself, I firsthand understand the struggles with living your life always trying to fit in and often feeling vastly different, broken, and/or weird. I’ll be the first to tell you that you are not broken and it's my aim to give you the language, tools and knowledge to be better understood by self and others.

Who are assessments at Harden Mental Health Services good for?

  • Individuals 19 years old or older

  • Those who are looking to be self-explorative and gain a deeper understanding of your behaviors, social interactions, and communication and how this relates to your own neurodiversity.

  • Those looking for a strength based approach to evaluation

  • Those who might have a family member who was diagnosed with ASD and/or ADHD and would like to deeper explore if they are experiencing a similar diagnosis.

  • Self-knowledge: maybe you have been seeing a lot of information about neurodiversity on the web or in the media and feel like you often identify with what you are seeing. It may be time to officially confirm this for yourself.

Curious how sessions will look?

(a general overview)

ASD Assessment

We will meet for 4 (60-90 minute) sessions for evaluation. You will be assigned two assessments to be completed remotely (I will work with you after our first session to assign these assessments). In our time together we will complete three formal assessments together, I will get to know a lot about your background, and you will have a chance to share past and present symptoms that affect your life. Once all evaluations have been completed, we will meet again in 2-4 weeks (depending on availability) and review the results of your assessments, report and any potential diagnosis. I also tailor recommendations for symptom management for each client - regardless of a diagnosis.

Note: With ASD assessments, ADHD evaluation is also included in the process.

Total Direct Evaluation Time: up to 6 hours

Records review, assessment analysis, recommendation research & report writing: 4-5 hours

Records review, assessment analysis, recommendation research & report writing: 3-4 hours

For both ADHD and ASD assessments, some clients opt for a trusted safe person to participate with them in the diagnostic interviews or
the report sharing session. This is optional and unique to each client’s needs.
Please inquire with me in your consult call if you are interested in including another person in your evaluations.

Important Note: If you are seeking evaluation for work or school accommodations, disability benefits or similarly, you may need to seek a neuropsychological evaluation that is out of my scope of expertise. I will determine in the consult call if my services fit your evaluation needs and offer you appropriate recommendations.
